A voluntary organisation located in Mikkeli, Finland dedicated to promoting young entrepreneurs’ concepts and assisting them in starting a new business venture recently chose to assist Vietnamese Le Hoang with an app he is developing.
The app entitled Survey in Pocket is changing the way the world conducts field interviews and surveys.
It allows the user to conduct interviews from virtually anywhere at any time capturing real-time and accurate data using the iPad, Android tablet, iPhone or other smartphone device.
In a recent interview posted on Survey in Pocket’s blog Hoang said “After just eight weeks, the program guided me through the basic steps of a start-up business.”
“Everything started with identifying customers, understanding their needs, finding our value proposition, selecting the alternative with the highest rate of return and pitching our ideas. As the program accelerated, every team including ours was continuously improving and moving forward.”
“At the beginning, we came to the program with an abstract idea of creating a survey application with better design and features. Then after only eight weeks, we had developed a clear mission that guided us through our business.”
Whenever making a decision about anything, such as a new feature for Survey in Pocket, we always ask ourselves the – magic – question: “Will our customer get more feedback if we do this?” If the answer is ‘No’, then we will not do that.
This question is extremely helpful to focus our efforts on important matters and stick with our original mission: “To help our clients get more customer feedback”.
As part of the assistance, 26-year-old Le Hoang will also receive an all-expense paid trip to Silicon Valley in California to meet with potential partners who will assist in further developing the app for worldwide distribution.
