This year, vocational schools under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs are becoming attractive to students because they ensure to provide employment to all students after graduation.

Students of Cao Thang Technical College are in practise class 

This is the first year vocational schools started enrolment separately with the Ministry of Education and Training. Vocational schools made concerted efforts to attract students by updating core curriculum, connecting with enterprises and designing the course as per enterprises’ demand to ensure employment for students.

Director of Vien Dong College Dr. Tran Thanh Hai said this year, 2,000 students have enrolled in the school. Many courses such as health and IT course have high enrolment with high score students.

3,000 students finished enrolment into Cao Thang Technical College in Ho Chi Minh City’s District (TPHCM) ; some of subjects have high qualifying score of 18.75.

College of Foreign Economic Relations, College of Industry and Trade, Thu Duc Technology College, Bach Viet College also have high enrolment. Director of Dai Viet Sai Gon College Teacher Le Lam said that the school has achieved 70 percent of its overall equivalent full-time student enrolment target of 1,800.

Students in vocational schools have short courses and they are ensured to have jobs after graduation which is one of the most attractive feature of vocational schools.

Director of International College Master Nguyen Dang Ly said that the school and enterprises both deliver training courses to students who was taken on as a graduate trainee in the school’s associate companies and the companies admit students after graduation.

Dai Viet Sai Gon College also promised that most of students will have jobs after finishing training courses or else the school will repay the tuition fee or provide training required by companies free-of-charge.
