Australian guitarist Le Hoang Minh, who was born in Vietnam, has announced that he has been invited to take the stage on November 27 in HCM City and on November 29 in Hanoi at the French Cultural Centre L’Espace.

The 30-year-old virtuoso, a member of the popular quartet Guitar Trek in Australia, has received many accolades in his short career.  Most recently he took first prize at the 50th Tokyo International Guitar Competition last November.

His first award that garnered him worldwide attention was first prize at the prestigious Adelaide Spring Guitar Festival Competition in 2001.

Minh has a great passion for the guitar and taught himself to play when he was just 9 years old. His family emigrated from Vietnam and settled in Australia when he was 13. In recent years, he has regularly returned to the homeland to give performances and work with young students by offering short training courses.

In 2008, his first solo album named “The Fall of Birds” was a smash hit with the critics. His most recent album ‘Duo Merindah’ is a mixture of guitar and flute has received great applause.
