Toyota Vietnam Foundation and Toyota Motor Vietnam in cooperation with the Vietnam National Orchestra Symphony (VNSO) proudly presents the “Toyota Concert Tour 2014.”
This is the 17th year of the annual Toyota Concert since its first debut in 1998 in Vietnam. The program will be held in 3 big cities including Hanoi, Buon Ma Thuot and Ho Chi Minh City with 4 nights on August 1st 2nd at Hanoi Opera House, on August 8th at Dak Lak Culture Center and on August 11st at Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Theatre.
In celebrating the National Tourism Year 2014 of Tay Nguyen, this year, the program is also held in Buon Ma Thuot for the first time with the hope to bring a new musical spirit to this highland.
Toyota Concert Tour 2014, carefully arranged and performed by the VNSO, under the baton of the Japanese maestro Honna Tetsuji and the talented cello sound of Merited Artist Tran Thi Mo, is the combination of various types of music. The program is selected from both famous world classical pieces of Glinka, Elgar and Tchaikovsky and impressively and unforgettably joyful melody of Leroy Anderson’s artworks.
Especially, the concert tour for the first time has the strong passionate voice of singer Tung Duong. The song series including “The Epic of Lo River”, “Pieu scarf”, “Song of Hope” or “The ferryman on Po Ko River” under the performance of Tung Duong do ensure an emotional night to audiences.
Since 1998, Toyota Motor Vietnam, and now Toyota Vietnam Foundation has sponsored annually for VNSO to organize Toyota Concert. From 2007, the program was changed into Toyota Concert Tour with performance tours to big cities nationwide. In 2012, the program was for the first time expanded to the three Indochinese countries with the name Toyota Concert Tour 2012 Vietnam –Lao – Cambodia. Till now, Toyota Concert Tour has been highly appreciated by music lovers, making classical music more approachable to the Vietnamese.
