Many hotels and resorts under Saigontourist Holding Company serve special buffets to welcome the New Year.

Rex Hotel Saigon (141 Nguyen Hue Blvd., Dist. 1, HCMC)

Rooftop Garden Bar Restaurant of Rex Hotel Saigon will offer
customers a special buffet to welcome the New Year from 6:30 p.m. on
December 31 until midnight. Customers will enjoy seasonal traditional
dishes, seafood and typical Asian dishes, and be at the same time
entertained with a variety show.

Ticket is VND2.5 million (US$119) for an adult and VND1.2 million for a
child. Customers will get one ticket free for every 10 bought.


Hotel Continental Saigon (132 Dong Khoi St., Dist. 1, HCMC)

The hotel will serve a dinner buffet with more than 40 selected dishes
and traditional dishes for New Year on December 31. The dishes are of
Asian and European styles. They include grilled shrimp, goose liver
pate, grilled-in-clay-container chicken and seafood. Drinks are free of
charge. Diners are also entertained with a variety show as well as play
games to win prizes.

Ticket is VND1.69 million for an adult and VND890,000 for a child.


The First Hotel (18 Hoang Viet St., Tan Binh Dist., HCMC)

A buffet and the “Cooking with Supercook” program will take place at
the First Buffet Restaurant on the night of December 31. Diners will
enjoy selected dishes and a variety show, receive souvenirs and join a
lucky draw. In particular, they can join chefs when they are at work.

Ticket is VND330,000 for an adult and VND200,000 for a child. Customers will get one ticket free when buying 10.


Thien Hong Hotel (52 Tan Da St., Dist. 5, HCMC)

The hotel will serve a New Year-celebration buffet with selected dishes
from 6-9 p.m. on December 31 and January 1, 2015. Ticket is VND299,000
for an adult and VND199,000 for a child.


Liberty Central Hotel (79 Le Thanh Ton St., Dist. 1, HCMC)

A seafood buffet costing each customer VND790,000 will come up at the
hotel’s Central Restaurant on the night of December 31. Customers
receive one free ticket for every 10 bought, and gifts and entertainment
for children.


Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint (59 Pasteur St., Dist. 1, HCMC)

The dinner buffet on December 31 consists of seafood and well-known
dishes, and beer, soft drinks and wine. Diners are also entertained with
live music while enjoying the buffet. The buffet costs each customer
VND1,999,000.


Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel (17 Ton Duc Thang St., Dist. 1, HCMC)

The hotel will serve a dinner buffet with seafood and typical dishes
for festivals with a variety show on December 31. Diners will also play
games to win prizes and enjoy firework displays. The buffet, taking
place at Central Restaurant, costs each customer VND1.7 million.


Que Huong-Liberty 4 Hotel (265 Pham Ngu Lao St., Dist. 1, HCMC)

With VND306,000 each, customers can enjoy a buffet with grilled
seafood, typical Vietnamese dishes and typical dishes for festivals such
as turkey, grilled lamb, squash soup and Christmas cakes from December
24 until January 4, 2015 (except December 29 and 30). Diners can also
join a lucky draw. Santa Claus presents gifts to children.


Can Gio Resort (Long Hoa Commune, Can Gio Dist., HCMC)

The resort will serve a dinner buffet with more than 50 typical dishes
of French, Thai and Vietnamese styles from 6-10 p.m. on December 27.
Diners also enjoy live music and may win a lucky prize for an Eco room
valid from January 5 to February 15 next year.

Customers get one free ticket when buying 10 before December 26. Ticket is VND289,000 for an adult and VND199,000 for a child.


Saigon Hotel (47 Dong Du St., Dist. 1, HCMC)

A buffet with selected dishes and live music will take place from 7-9
p.m. on December 31. Children receive Christmas gifts from Santa Claus.
Ticket is VND499,000 for an adult and VND279,000 for a child.


Binh Quoi 2 Resort (at the end of Binh Quoi St., Binh Thanh Dist., HCMC)

A New Year-celebration buffet will occur at 5:30 p.m. on December 31.
Dishes include smoked turkey, Russian-style grilled pig rib, grilled
lamb, rabbit cooked in wine, and smoked potato. Cocktail and wine are
free. Diners also enjoy live music during the buffet. Children are given
a gift each.

Ticket is VND590,000 for an adult and VND290,000 for a child. One ticket is free for every 16 tickets booked.


Van Thanh Tourist Area (48/10 Dien Bien Phu St., Binh Thanh Dist., HCMC)

Van Thanh will serve a special buffet with selected dishes, drinks, a
variety show and a lucky draw from 6-10 p.m. on December 31. Dishes
include smoked turkey, grilled lamb, rabbit with wine sauce and
barbecues.

Ticket is VND600,000 for an adult and VND300,000 for a child. Customers will get one ticket free when booking 10.


Tan Cang Tourist Park (A100 Ung Van Khiem St., Binh Thanh Dist., HCMC)

A buffet with more than 80 grilled and hot pot dishes and a wide range
of desserts will be served at 5 p.m. on December 31. The buffet costs an
adult VND290,000 and a child VND160,000.

Saigon Restaurant Ship (Bach Dang Quay, Dist. 1, HCMC)

A New Year-celebration dinner buffet will be served on board the Saigon
Restaurant Ship from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on December 31. Dishes include
squash soup, roast turkey with honey sauce, grilled lamb and rabbit
cooked in wine. There are also wine and cakes. Diners are also
entertained with a concert, dances and games. They may get a gift
through a lucky draw and can enjoy the fireworks display.

Buffet ticket is VND600,000 for an adult and VND300,000 for a child. Customers are given a free ticket for 10 bought.

Festival Honoring Rice Grains

Binh Quoi 1 Resort will hold a gastronomic and cultural festival from 4-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, December 26-27, and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-9 p.m. on Sunday, December 28.

The festival themed “The Rice Grains of My Country” focuses on the following activities.

Gastronomy: Introducing common rice dishes and drinks; a collection of more than 100 types of sweet soups and pastry cakes; making typical dishes from the Sadec flour production village (in the Mekong Delta) and other areas on the spot.

Country scenery and country markets: Re-creating the rice production process, farm chores and catching fish in a pond.

Folk games: Organizing folk games such as fish fighting, worm fighting, cricket fighting, cockfighting, seizing a clay pot blindfolded, climbing greased pole, and walking on stilts; and instructing visitors how to make children’s toys.

Folk arts: Performing southern folk songs, southern traditional music, traditional Vietnamese opera, and parallel sentences singing between women and men on the river.

Traditional crafts and souvenirs: Exhibiting handicrafts of traditional craft villages and introducing souvenirs.

Entrance ticket is VND290,000 for an adult (free for children). Customers get one free ticket when buying 11.
