VietNamNet Bridge – The HCM City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) will present George Frederic Handel’s oratorio Messiah, one of the masterpieces of choral music, on May 8 and 9 at the Opera House.
The performance will feature vocalists from Norway and artists from famous orchestras Trondheim Solistene and Kongelige Norske Marines Musikkorps. Several Vietnamese artists and the HBSO’s symphony orchestra will also join the show.
It will be conducted by Lars Notto Birkeland, who worked with the HBSO to bring the opera Dido and Aeneas to Viet Nam last year.
Tickets costing from VND400,000 to 650,000, and 150,000 for students, are available at the venue. The Opera House is at 7 Lam Son Square in District 1.
