VietNamNet Bridge – Winding around cliffs, the Nam Mu River along the provincial road 106 from Son La to Lai Chau is a beautiful site.

Nam Mu River originates from the peaks of the Hoang Lien mountain range, running through the territory of Than Uyen in Lai Chau and then pouring into the Da River in Son La. From Son La to Lai Chau, along Provincial Road 106, you will pass the town of It Ong, the communes of Ta Gia and Muong Kim and go along the Nam Mu River.

Many small hydroelectric plants are built on the river, turning Nam Mu into quiet and peaceful reservoirs.

The life along the river.

The flow changes, from quiet and peaceful to wild and strong.

Only a section of about 50 km from Than Uyen to It Ong, many hydropower plants are built as Huoi Quang, Nam Mo, and Ban Chat.

The peaceful setting with the river flowing around the mighty steep cliff.

The magnificent suspension bridges spanning the river make this place look a romantic picture.

Along the river are houses of Thai people and rice fields.

The peaceful Muong Kim valley with riverside fields and villages of the Thai people.

A suspension bridge over Nam Mu River.
