The number of tourists from Russia to Vietnam were higher than any
other country during January and February, according to the General
Statistics Office (GSO).
More than 54,000 Russians visited
during the first two months of the year, accounting for one-fourth of
the total number of Russian tourists last year.
Vietnam
received a total of 1.21 million foreign visitors in the year’s first
two months, about 90.4 percent of the number during the same period last
year.
According to the Russian Consulate General in HCM City,
the most favoured destinations in Vietnam for Russian visitors are Khanh
Hoa, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Kien Giang provinces, which
attracted a total of 200,000 tourists last year.-VNA
