More than 900 delegations, including over 20,000 tourists, visited
President Ho Chi Minh’s home town in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district,
central Nghe An Province, during the five-day Reunification Day and May
Day holidays.
According to the provincial Department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of tourists increased fourfold
against the same period last year.
In order to ensure safety
for tourists and order at the Kim Lien Relic Site, some 80 local police
officers were sent to the area, while guides were well assigned to
introduce the site to tourists.
Also on this occasion,
more than 74,000 people across the country and from abroad paid tribute
to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi.-VNA
