The Minerva, a 5-star cruise ship carrying 500 tourists and 200 crew
members, docked at Quy Nhon port, coastal Binh Dinh province on January
31.
This is the first ship of this rating to dock
at the port and the first large tour group to arrive in the province in
2013.
Minerva began its voyage from Hong Kong. It
stopped at Hai Phong, Ha Long and Da Nang before arriving in Quy
Nhon, and will continue to Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City before
departing for Cambodia .
Binh Dinh’s tourism
sector has seen significant development in recent years. Director of the
provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Van Trong Hung
said that the number of tourists visiting the province in 2012 increased
by 24 percent, and tourism revenue rose by over 30 percent.-VNA
