Airport receives first flight

HA NOI (VNS) — The central province of Thanh Hoa’s Tho Xuan Airport received its first commercial flight on Tuesday lunchtime.
A Vietnam Airlines Airbus A321 carrying more than 190 passengers from HCM City touched down the airport to mark the official inauguration of the route.
Flights are scheduled to leave HCM City at 7.20am and return from Thanh Hoa at 10am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Travel times will be around 1 hour and 55 minutes.
The opening of the route aimed to meet the increasing travel demands between the two areas, according to the Ministry of Transport.
Tho Xuan Airport has a 3,200m long, 50m wide runway capable of receiving Airbus A320/321 and the larger Boeing 777 and 747.
The airport is located in Sao Vang Town, Tho Xuan District. — VNS
