At present, Nam Dinh are at the bottom with only nine points after 13 matches. They have stopped their contract with Trinidad & Tobago national football team’s member Neil Tevin Michael Benjamin, Jr because the team’s training board wasn’t satisfied with his skills.
Antonio’s salary is about US$5,000 per month.
The 30-year-old player Antonio was born in Sao Paulo. He began his career in 2008 playing for the domestic team Red Bull Brazil.
In 2011 he became one of the first players to play for the Salzburg club in Austria, who later triumphed in the Austrian Football Bundesliga 12 times.
During that time, Antonio wore the jersey of Salzburg to compete in the qualifying round of the Europa League in which Salzburg met Paris Saint-Germain in September, 2011.
After that, the Brazilian forward moved to Thailand and Japan to compete in the Thai Premier League and the J League.
Antonio is expected to save Nam Dinh from relegation in this year’s season. — VNS
