VietNamNet Bridge – Jutatip Maneephan of Thailand won the first stage of the National Women’s Cycling Open for the An Giang Television Cup on Friday.

Maneephan won the 34km race around Tran Phu Road in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province. The Thai cyclist also won the green jersey for the best sprinter with 16 points.

Pham Le Xuan Hong of Biwase Binh Duong and Supaksorn Nuntana of Thailand were the runners-up.

The tournament attracted the participation of 65 female cyclists from 11 domestic teams and two foreign teams from Kazakhstan and Thailand.

The tournament will include six stages across 11 localities of Vietnam, with a total length of 622km. It will conclude in Long Xuyen City of An Giang Province on July 18.

Today, the cyclists will compete in the second stage from Nha Trang to Phan Rang City of Ninh Thuan Province, lasting 131km.
