VietNamNet Bridge – Cyclist Vo Thi Phuong Phi won the seventh and final stage of the International Binh Duong Women’s Cycling Tournament-Biwase Cup 2013, while Cao Thi Cam Le was crowned overall champion yellow jersey on Saturday, March 9.

Phuong from Binh Duong clocked a top speed of 35.262 kmh during the 96km stage from Ba Ria to Thu Dau Mot in the southern province of Binh Duong, which she completed in 2:43.21.
Pham Thi Thuy Lien of Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy 1 and Nguyen Thi That of Vinh Binh An Giang Rice finished in second and third.
Le of Binh Duong Environment Water Suppy-Drainage 1 seized the winners yellow jersey with an overall time of 18:13.23. Nguyen Thi Thi of An Giang and Vo Thi Bich Lam of Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy 1 were the runners-up.
That won the green jersey as the best sprinter with 111 points.
Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy 1 took the team event, followed by Vinh Binh An Giang Rice and Binh Duong Environment Water Suppy-Drainage 1.
Event organizer Ngo Van Lui said: “Following a suggestion by the Viet Nam Cycling and Motor Sport Federation, we will attempt to register the event with International Cycling Union’s competition system. If successful, domestic teams will have the chance to compete against many strong foreign teams.”
This year’s tournament, which ran from March 2, brought together ten strong Vietnamese teams and one from Malaysia.
They competed in seven stages covering 630km through the provinces and cities of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
