VietNamNet Bridge – In the afternoon of April 2, the border guards and police forces of Quang Binh Province arrested the first two suspects in the murder of five Quang Binh-native woodmen on the Vietnam-Laos border last week.

The two suspects were arrested while on their way home to seek food. They are Ho Van Cong, 38, and Ho Van Thanh, 39, both residing in Huong Viet commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province.
The two suspects have confessed to join some Laotians to kill five woodmen on March 23.
The same day, the border guards and police officers who arrested the two suspects were rewarded, with VND50 million ($2,500) of bonus.
The Policy Agency of Quang Tri Province has mobilized 100 policemen to investigate the murder of five woodmen.
According to police, the remaining suspects are hiding in Laos. At least one Laotian suspect has been identified.
