A tour to Truong Sa archipelago will continue to be organised for
overseas Vietnamese, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son has
affirmed at his meetings with representatives of Vietnamese associations
in Germany during his European trip on April 17-18.
Son
told the participants about stories on overseas Vietnamese visiting
Truong Sa archipelago and organising a requiem for those who sacrificed
their lives to protect Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagoes.
He
emphasised that the Vietnamese State and army are determined and
capable of defending the fatherland’s territory, while reiterating the
country’s persistent policy on sovereignty over sea and islands, and its
land border.
Talking with the executive board of the Vietnam
Business Association, the diplomat praised their contributions to the
country’s development and pledged to work with them to clear bottlenecks
for their investment in the homeland.
Meeting with
representatives of the Vietnam Buddhists Association and Dong Xuan
Commercial Centre, the diplomat was interested in the organisation of a
Vietnamese cultural festival in August in Potsdam city. He said he
will suggest the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism joining in.
On this occasion, Son also met with the Federal
Union of the Vietnamese in Germany, during which he expressed his wish
that the Vietnamese community in Germany will enhance their unity
further to preserve their prestige in the host country.-VNA
