Vietnamese students won three gold, four silver and eight bronze medals at the international mathematics competition (IMC) held in Dejoun, the Republic of Korea from July 21-26.
All of the winning students attend the Hanoi-Amsterdam Gifted High School.
The three gold medals went to Phan Minh Duc, Hoang Nguyen Minh Phuong and Nguyen Nga Nhi. Dao Vu Quang, Pham Nam Khanh, Nguyen Dang Khoi and Chu Minh Hieu earned the silver medals.
Tran Phuong, deputy director of the Talent Development and Support Centre (CSTD) said he was proud of the Vietnamese students for their highest ever achievement in the history of the international maths contest.
Phan Minh Duc got the top mark at the competition with 150/150 while the two remaining gold medallists earned 140/150 mark.
