Hanoi students Nguyen Nga Nhi and Nguyen Dang Khoi placed fourth and ninth in the region, respectively.
The outstanding achievements have given fresh impetus to developing Vietnam’s mathematics and encouraged students on to further success.
The 10 Vietnamese students were selected from the 482 who participated in APMOPS 2013’s first round in Vietnam.
APMOPS is a prestigious mathematical contest that Singapore’s Hwa Chong Institution holds annually for students in the Asia Pacific Region aged 11–13.
