No Fake News with English subtitles

HÀ NỘI — The Vietnam News Agency released 13 new language versions of its well-known anti-fake news song on Friday, bringing the total number of languages to 15.

The song “No Fake News” performed by rap band DaLab was released on March 27. The version with English subtitles was released a day later.

Since its launch, “No Fake News” has reached millions of people through television programmes and videos posted on online newspapers and social media. DaLab’s YouTube channel alone has attracted more than 320,00 views. It has also gained nearly 350,000 views on TikTok.

With the newest addition, the song is now also available in French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Thai, Indonesian, Lao and Khmer

The song was born in the context of the widespread fake news problem, doing serious harm to many individuals, organisations, businesses as well as the whole of society. Fake news is especially spreading widely with false and fabricated content related to the Covid-19 pandemic around the world and in Việt Nam.

Many individuals have taken advantage of the complicated developments of the pandemic to post false information to garner likes and views on social network channels, causing misinformation and confusion among people and making it difficult to prevent the pandemic.

“No Fake News” has been posted on various platforms such as news websites, TV channels and social networks such as YouTube and Facebook. DaLab’s official YouTube channel and music sites like ZingMP3 and TikTok also carry the song, and it has been featured on VTV, VOVTV, VTC and ANTV, as well as many newspapers.
