An artwork featuring letter Q by artist Tran Tien Dung

“Unlimited Letters,” a unique exhibition, will be held in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City at the same time starting on Sep 29 to Oct 6.

The project aims to build up a space for young artists and designers to show their creativity.

In this exhibition, 35 people from different backgrounds are given the opportunity to express their own style in writing letters so that people could gather and discuss the alphabet in various art forms, says  a press release from the Barbetta Republic gallery in Hanoi.

Beside 33 artworks, the gallery has printed 500 books about the artists and designers taking part in Unlimited Letters.

Letter B, for instance, is inspired by the traditional dragon symbol of Ly dynasty in Vietnam. It is designed by Ben, a young artist specializing in street arts in HCMC. Along with Justin Khuong, who is in charge of letter Z in the project, Ben completed an impressive graffiti artwork at Tiger Translate 2013.

Popular comic illustrator Nguyen Thanh Phong is also contributing to the project.

In Hanoi, the show will be held at the Barbetta Republic gallery, Zone 9, 9 Tran Thanh Tong Street.

In HCMC, Palpitation, 29 Dien Bien Phu, District 1, will host the event.
