A series of cultural activities for children are being held nationwide until August to provide quality entertainment for children during their summer vacation.

In Ho Chi Minh City, local artists from various genres including stage, movies, cai luong, and the circus offer free performance to children at 9 a.m. every Sunday at the city’s Opera House.

After the show, called Cau vong tuoi tho (Rainbow of childhood), the children can talk with and take photos of the celebrities.

At the Hoang Thai Thanh Stage (36 Le Quy Don Street, District 3), the play, One Thousand and One Nights, will entertain children during the summer holiday. Children who are under 4-years-old or under one meter tall can get free tickets for performance from July to August.

Meanwhile, the Le Hay Stage (142 Dinh Tien Hoang Street,Binh Thanh District) is performing eight children’s plays alternately, including Quái vật rừng xanh (Jungle monster), Hoa xa tinh (Fire demon snake), and Co be than ky (Legendary little girl) until August. The play features a king and his plan to cast out all of his disabled, ugly people to the jungles so that only the beauties remain in downtown areas, believing it is a proper way to beautify his country.

Those who are circus lovers can enjoy the  Tarzan by the city’s Circus Troupe at Gia Dinh Park, Phu Nhuan District till the end of July.

In Hanoi, the Vietnam National Circus Troupe will present Ton Ngo Khong dai nao thien cung (Sun WuKong disturbs the heavenly palace) during the three month summer.
