Phan Hoang Thu and Nguyen Dieu Linh will represent Vietnam at the Asia Super Model Contest 2013, scheduled to take place in China from July 1 – 15.

The two models were recommended by the Elite Model Company, the first firm to specialize in training Vietnamese models to receive approval from the Department of Performing Arts of under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Phan Hoang Thu (1.72 meters, 89-60-89), won first prize and also the “Miss Bikini” title at the annual local competition, “Future Star,” held last year.

Thu, 23, has a Bachelor’s Degree in fashion design.

Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh (1.72 meters, 85-62-88) was the runner up of the 2012 Future Star competition where she won the “Miss Photogenic” title. She is a graduate of the Hai Phong Vocational College of Tourism and Service.

In 2010, she finished in the top ten at the Vietnam Super Model Competition.

The Asia Super Model Contest has been held annually since 2008 with the aim of “increasing the communication and coordination of the modeling industry in Asia, as well as selecting and training professional Asian models.”

The 2013 Asia Super Model Contest will involve the participation of contestants from China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines and Mongolia.

At last year’s event, Vietnamese model Lan Khue placed in the top three.
