VietNamNet Bridge – Two students from Hanoi and Son La won two gold medals for Vietnam at the International Physics Olympiad in Denmark.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, five Vietnamese students participated in the International Physics Olympiad 2013 in Denmark from July 5-15. All of them won medals, including two gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals.
The two gold medalists are Bui Quang Tu, a 12th grader from the Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students and Ngo Phi Long, a 12th grader from the High School for Gifted Students of Son La Province.
The silver medalist is My Duy Hoang Long, a 12th grader from the Lam Son High School for Gifted Students of Thanh Hoa province.
Le Duy Anh, a 12th grader from Lam Son High School and Tran Thi Thu Huong, a 12th grader from the Le Hong Phong High School for Gifted Students of Nam Dinh Province won the bronze medal.
The team will arrive at the Noi Bai International Airport in the morning of July 16.
In early May, all eight Vietnamese students won medals at the Asia Physics Olympiad in Indonesia, including two gold medals and two silver medals. The two students who won the gold medal are also Bui Quang Tu and Ngo Phi Long.
In 2012, all five Vietnamese students attending the International Physics Olympiad in Estonia won medals, including two gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals. The two gold medalists are Ngo Phi Long and Dinh Ngoc Hai, a 12th grader of the Bien Hoa High School for Gifted Students of Ha Nam province.
Thus, in 2012-2013, Ngo Phi Long, a student from the Lam Son High School for Gifted Students in Thanh Hoa province won three gold medals for Vietnam at international physic contests.
In addition, four Vietnamese students won medals at the International Informatics Olympiad 2013 in Australia.
Duong Thanh Dat and Nguyen Tuan Anh, 12th graders at the Ha Noi National University of Education High School for the Gifted, and northern Hai Phong City’s Tran Phu Gifted High School, won two silver medals.
Two bronze medals were clinched by students of Lam Son Gifted High School in central Thanh Hoa province and Tran Phu school in Hai Phong.
Vietnamese students claimed three silvers and one bronze at the last year’s competition.
