VietNamNet Bridge – Mr. Pham Duc Long has replaced Mr. Tran Manh Hung as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT).

Long assumed the new position in March but he received the appointment decision from Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son at a ceremony Thursday. Previously, Long was deputy CEO of VNPT.
The former CEO, Tran Manh Hung, has become VNPT Chair.
Long graduated from the Polytechnic University of Ho Chi Minh City and got an M.A and PhD degrees in Electronics and Telecommunication in Japan.
In 2005 he returned to work in HCM City and served as Deputy Director and Director of HCM City Telecommunications Department.
As the new CEO, Long said he would be interested in accessing, exploring new markets, to bring VNPT brand to the global market.
