A team of 12 Vietnamese martial arts on September 5 arrived in Chungju,
the Republic of Korea to attend the World Martial Arts Festival.
Sponsored by the World Martial Arts Union (WoMAU), the annual event
aims to promote traditional martial arts in hope of protecting and
upholding humankind’s sporting spirit.
During the two-day
event, the Vietnamese martial artists will compete with their rivals
from 37 teams around the world for a prize of 10 million won (about
9,000 USD).
Last year, Vietnam was the event’s runner-up, taking home 4 million won.
The competitors are scheduled to attend the WoMAU annual congress on September 5-6.-VNA
