Singapore and Tonga on March 4 signed an Open Skies Agreement
(OSA) that allows for the full flexibility of air services operated by
carriers of both countries.

Accordingly, all Singaporean carriers can operate flights to any destination in Tonga, and vice versa.

The document was signed during Tongan Prime Minister Lord Tu’ivakano’s official visit to Singapore.

Singapore’s Minister of Transport Lui Tuck Yew said the
agreement is a reflection of the tight bilateral relations and the
commitment of both sides to establishing an open air services framework.

Singapore has signed similar agreements with over 100 other countries and territories.-VNA
