Cambodia and Russia on April 2 signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) which aims to promote bilateral cooperation in all
fields, particularly economics, tourism and education, according to news
reports.
The deal was inked between Secretary of
State of Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International
Cooperation Sun Saphoeun and Head of Russian Federal Agency for Tourism
Alexander Radkov at the 7th session of the intergovernmental Cambodia-Russia Commission for trade, economic, scientific and technical
cooperation.
Under the MoU, Russia will consider
increasing the number of scholarships for Cambodian students, according
to the Cambodian secretary.
At a meeting on the same
day between Alexander Radkov and host Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign
Minister Hor Namhong, the two sides pledged to intensify cooperation in
trade, investment and tourism for mutual benefits.-VNA
