VietNamNet Bridge – The Seventh Science Film Festival, organized by Goethe-Institute and THD Education Solution Ltd., will take place in Hanoi from October 7 to 18.
The audience will a chance to watch science and natural history films and participate in discovery workshops and experiments.
From October to December, the Science Film Festival will visit schools and cultural centers.
Kids and Youth can experience science with hands and eyes and do experiments on the spot. F
ilms and experiments will be the medium through which curiosity and the desire to explore are encouraged and our knowledge of today’s world is expanded.
The main theme of this year’s Science Film Festival is the “Anthropocene”.
The term refers to the fact that for thousands of years, humans have made their impact on nature, and have changed nature.
Today, we experience Anthropocene through climate change. Our world with plants and animals is facing a crisis.
The film program not only reflects these problems but also shows us the beauty and vulnerability of the ecosystems on our Earth.
The films will be synchronized in Vietnamese. Aside from screenings for adolescents and children, there will also be games and experimentswhich deepen the process of learning and understanding.
Last year, 36.000 viewers attended 300 screenings in Vietnam. This year, the organizers hope that the festival will again attract parents, teachers and students of all ages.
The Science Film Festival is an initiative of Goethe-Institute to promote science education and creative learning in Vietnam.
