VietNamNet Bridge – Each painting by Ngo Chinh shows the personal feelings about the romantic land of Sapa.
“Landscape of Sa Pa 8”.
Ngo Chinh has been known for his lacquered and copper engraving paintings but in the exhibition “Feelings 3,” he introduces his acrylic works on the beautiful land of Sa Pa, a famous tourist attraction in northern Vietnam.
As a former soldier and a painter, Ngo Chinh is endowed with abundant health to continue his career at the age of 70. After many days wandering in Sa Pa, he drew a series of paintings of the resort land.
Scent of Love (Lacquer).
18 beautiful paintings of Sapa are now on display at the exhibition “Feelings 3.” Many other artists have drawn Sapa but Ngo Chinh’s Sa Pa is different.
Each painting is a separate personal feeling about a small corner of that land. It is the poetically located houses among rows of pine trees and roads, or the simple beauty of the garden with purple flowers, the brilliant beauty of fields of ripen rice and the peace of the houses of H’Mong people under the tree…
Besides the 18 acrylic on canvas paintings about Sa Pa, Ngo Chinh also introduces eight lacquer paintings at the exhibition. Lacquer paintings are his forte and major style so these works with warm colors always express the depth of the soul and emotion of the artist.
The exhibition “Emotions 3” by artist Ngo Chinh is organized at the Korean Cultural Center until September 15.
