Luxembourg dancer Sylvia Camarda will perform the work Warrior of Beauty as a dialogue with the public. Her performance will be a monologue to express her own character and via that audiences can find themselves in the dance moves.

The performance will be set in an actresses’ room to illustrate moments of being thoughtful, hesitating and of quests.

Camarda’s moves are inspired from Broadway shows, her experience with dancer Jan Fabre and sensitiveness of classic ballet.

Moreover, the theater also has ‘Khat vong cao nguyen’ (Highland desire) by choreographer Kieu Le and staged by artists of the Youth Theater which will present the strong breath, vitality and desire of conquering mountains and nature of ethnic people in the highlands regions.

A second item ‘Ben luy’ by choreographer Anh Phuong and staged by artist Mai Phuong Lan depicts images of a lady waiting for her husband.

Young dance virtuoso and choreographer; Carmarda develops a universe and a style appropriate to each production. She endeavors to use her technique and boundless energy in the service of a physical and generous dance, notable for the carnal presence of the body. She then presents this in choreographic and theatrical language of obvious force and sexuality.

She studied at the Rosella Hightower School in Cannes and at the London Contemporary Dance School, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 2000.

*A performance by Sun Glitters of Luxembourg, in combination with modern dancer and compatriot Sylvia Camarda and artist Tran Xuan Hoa, will take place at the Youth Theatre at 11 Ngo Thi Nham, Hanoi on June 19.

The sound of Sun Glitters (artist name of Victor Ferreira) is the harmony of sound waves, creating a modern pop music space stimulating perceptions of senses.

Starting with experimental sounds via small performances on his laptop, Victor released his first album ‘Everything could be fine’ in 2011 on Bandcamp and then on Records LebensStrasse and currently he is recording a new album to come out later this year.

Meanwhile, Hoa is the master of performing solo on contemporary percussions. The interesting thing is he brings many daily tools on stage as musical instruments such as a wastebasket, hammer and pots.

He is currently working for Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.
