VietNamNet Bridge – About 100 km northeast of Hanoi, the coastal city of Hai Phong is the place where visitors can stop to discover on the way to Cat Ba or Do Son this summer.


The female General Le Chan monument, located in front of the city exhibition center, is one of the city’s symbolic works. The monument was built in 1999 to honor female General Le Chan, a founder of Haiphong.

 

The Opera House was built in 1904 in Baroque style, by the French. This building was used to serve the rich and the French army in the past. Nowadays, it is still the major theatre in the city.

Binh Bridge connects the city center with Thuy Nguyen district. This is a cable-stayed bridge with a length of 1.3 km, built in 2002.

This work is one of many tourist attractions of Haiphong. People come here at dawn or dusk to watch the city panorama in the sunlight.

Do Market or Tam Bac Market is the largest wholesale market of fruits and agricultural products in Hai Phong.

Located near the market is Tam Bac Lake, where local people come to do exercise or play sports in the early morning or late afternoon.

Haiphong port was built in 1874. It is the largest seaport in north Vietnam.
