VietNamNet Bridge – In the afternoon on October 2, after heavy rains, many roads in HCM City were flooded in the depth of over half a meter, leaving hundreds of vehicles in engine failure and many shops closed.

Heavy rains in Saigon at 4pm submerged many roads, such as Hoa Binh in District 11, Nguyen Van Qua in District 12, Dong Den and Au Co in Tan Binh, Tan Hoa in District 6.

Water spilled into this primary school. Luckily, the class began
close at that time so students did not have to sit on the sea of water
in the class.

This man had to walk for 1km in the smelly water to pick his son from the school and carried him on the back to return home.

Many students walked on the flooded road.

Hundreds of vehicles were stalled; many people fell on the flooded road.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, 60, stood in front of the door, looking bored
at the submerged road. Whenever it rains, the life of this man and
family is affected, because of flood.

Ms. Hong said whenever it rains and flooding comes, she has to close her shop.

 Quiet shops because of flood.

To cope with the water, many shops prepared sand bags in advance to prevent water from overflowing into the house.

Hundreds of vehicles were stalled when passing Hoa Binh road, the “road of misery.”
