Vietnamese walker Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc bagged a silver medal at the
Asia 20km Race Walking Championship 2013, which concluded in Nomi city
of Japan on March 10.

The walker from central
Da Nang city finished her race in one hour 35 minutes and 26
seconds. Last year, she won the bronze medal at this champs.

Otoshi Kumi of the host country took the women’s crown in one hour 33 minutes and 49 seconds.

Phuc’s younger brother, Thanh Ngung, ranked fifth in the race for men
with one hour 27 minutes and 30 seconds, breaking his own national
record of one hour and 36 minutes.-VNA
