VietNamNet Bridge – A kick of an Indonesian player in the finals of the Southeast Asian U19 Championships sent midfielder Trum Tinh of U19 Vietnam to the operating table.

Midfielder Trum Tinh of U19 Vietnam and his broken nose, caused by a kick of an Indonesian player.
Back in Vietnam as the runner-up of the U19 Southeast Asian Championships, the Vietnam U19 team was immediately convened in Gia Lai province to prepare for the qualifying round of the Asian Championships 2014.
In Gia Lai, Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc – Chairman of Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC – summoned his FC’s doctor – Dong Xuan Lam from Hanoi to Gia Lai to treat injuries to the players.
U19 players were checked at the Medical University Hospital in Gia Lai. Many players were determined to have injuries of various levels.
Midfielder Pham Trum Tinh suffered the worst wounds on the face caused by a kick of an Indonesia full back. Doctors performed a surgery to fix his nose.
Other players with milder wounds on their legs, feet and arms were also treated so they can resume practicing as soon as possible.
The team’s Coach Grachen said that if these players cannot recover from injuries, he would have to summon other players for the upcoming drilling for the Asian U19 qualifier.
U19 team will practice in Gia Lai and then move to HCM City on September 30 to fly to Malaysia for the Asia U19 Championships qualifier from October 3 to 7.
Vietnam is in Group F with Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The goal of Vietnam U19 team is enter the finals to be held in Myanmar in 2014.
