An agriculture-industry-trade fair of 23 northern mountainous provinces
from Ha Tinh northward will take place in Ha Giang province from May
3-9.
The event is jointly held by the National Agricultural
Extension Centre, the People’s Committee of Ha Giang province, and Bac
Ha Trade and Communication Group.
According to Nguyen Duc Vinh,
Director of Ha Giang province’s Department of Agriculture and Rural
Development, the fair is part of the 2013 national agricultural
extension programme, featuring various activities to promote
agriculture, industry and trade in these localities during the process
of rural industrialisation and modernisation.
The event is
expected to attract domestic and international enterprises with hundreds
of stalls introducing farm and forest produce, aquatic products,
processed food, agricultural machines, industrial and commercial
products, and crafts.
Other activities such as seminars,
providing technical documents, and introducing the provinces’ investment
policies and strengths, will be held to build links and exchanges among
farmers, managers, scientists and businesses.
In addition, the
fair is an opportunity for Ha Giang province to introduce to visitors
its tourism potential, such as Dong Van Stone Plateau and tourism
products of ethnic minority people.-VNA
