VietNamNet Bridge – The National Championships will take place in HCM City on September 22 to 27 and the opening day will coincide with the final day of the Japanese Super Series.

The organizing board of the national individual badminton championships 2013 has increased the bonus for the men’s single championship to $1,100.
According to the Vice-president and General Secretary of the Vietnam Badminton Federation – Mr. Le Thanh Sang, Tien Minh is the top candidate for this title. Last year Minh won the championship of this tournament, earning $1,000 bonus.
At the Japanese Super Series, Tien Minh defeated Japanese 19-year-old Kento Momota in the second round yesterday to enter the quarter-finals.
Previously, he went through the second round at the Japanese Super Series after beating Zhengming Wang in the first round in three sets.
Last year, the 30-year-old player reached the quarterfinals, where he lost to Hu Yun of Hong Kong 24-21, 21-15.
