This is a 7-round, Swiss system tournament that will take place from April 7 to 13. The event has the participation of the 20 strongest chess clubs in Russia. Le Quang Liem plays for the SSM-64 club.
Liem is the teamate with excellent players such as Gelfan (Elo 2740) who has just returned from the Candidates tournament), Nepomniachtchi (Elo 2708, 2013 Aeroflot blitz chess champion), Wojtaszek (Poland’s top player, Elo 2700,) Fabio Caruana (the world’s top young player from Italy, Elo 2772), and others Russian players whose Elo are approximately 2600 to 2650, including Kobalia, Najer, Dubov and Vorobiev.
