Chairman of the Vietnam Professional Football Company (VPF) Vo Quoc
Thang has announced that Japanese consultants will come to Vietnam
in the coming months to assist the development of the county’s local
leagues.
Thang and Kazumi Ohigashi, the J-League
chairman, met last week and agreed to form a long-term partnership aimed
at improving the quality of domestic football in the two countries.
As part of the new agreement, Japan’s experts are flying to Vietnam
to help the VPF oversee their management structure and lure more
sponsors and supporters from local and international areas.
Kazuyoshi
Tanabe, the first consultant, will begin working on February 20. To
mark the new partnership, the Vietnamese under-15 team will meet their
Japanese counterparts in August.-VNA
