The British TNT Theatre will perform “Gulliver’s Travels” with
Vietnamese subtitles in Hanoi on May 8 and in HCM City on May
10-11.

The comedy especially targets young audiences who are
proficient in English, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and
Tourism said on April 11.

The comedy is adapted from a novel written by Jonathan Swift and directed by Paul Stebbing.

It has been performed in more than 20 European and Asian countries over the last eight months.

Gulliver’s Travels is a work normally performed for children, but TNT
Theatre has adapted it for teenagers by using comedians, acrobats, music
and witty dialogue.

TNT Theatre has previously performed
“Romeo and Juliet” and “A Christmas Carol” to Vietnamese audiences. Over
the past two years alone it has presented Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” and
“King Lear” and Dicken’s “Oliver Twist” in HCM City, Hanoi and
central Da Nang city.-VNA
