Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the Vietnam Plus
e-newspaper of Vietnam News Agency (VNA) the Labour Order, third class
at a ceremony to mark its 5th anniversary in Hanoi on November 13.
First launched in 2008, Vietnam Plus has quickly become one of the top
official e-newspapers in the country, offering news in five languages –
Vietnamese, English, French, Spanish and Chinese – along with
convenient applications, such as Vietnam Plus Mobile and a
multi-language website introducing Thang Long-Hanoi.
Deputy PM Phuc highlighted the VNA’s outstanding achievements since its
inception nearly 70 years ago in the struggle for national liberation
and reunification, as well as in the cause of national construction and
defence. He urged the VNA and Vietnam Plus to always bring the latest
and best quality information to readers.
For his
part, VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi pledged the agency will try
its best to further develop to deserve its role as a strategic
information provider and a sharp tool of the Party and State on the
ideological and cultural front.
The achievements
Vietnam Plus made shows that the agency is going the right way in its
long-term strategy to focus on electronic and mobile newspaper.
On
the occasion, the e-newspaper launched a new interface which is
designed to suit many kinds of equipment, especially touch screens such
as tablets or mobile phones.-VNA
