The Vietnamese legislative
body gives special priority to developing the friendship with the
European Parliament (EP).

Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said this while receiving a visiting European
Parliamentarian delegation, led by its Committee for Southeast Asia and
ASEAN Relations Chairman Werner Largen in Hanoi on October 29.
Hung expressed his pleasure at the increasing development of the
relations between the NA of Vietnam and the EP in such fields as
politics, trade and investment.
The NA chief told
his guest that he hopes the bilateral meetings between the EP delegation
and Vietnamese agencies will help deepen mutual understanding and
strengthen relations between the Vietnamese legislature and the EP and
EU.
The EP attaches importance to boosting ties with the Vietnamese NA, Chairman Werner Largen affirmed.
The two sides have exchanged delegations and collaborated in
multilateral forums as well as shared experience in legislation,
according to Largen, adding that he hopes that the two sides will
continue to strengthen cooperation activities, especially in law
building and international integration.
Chairman Hung also briefed his guest of the Constitution revision in Vietnam.-VNA
