VietNamNet Bridge – On the evening of Tuesday, February 19, many passengers on the train SE15 from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City were sleeping when they were suddenly awakened up by a strong sound, vibration and the train stopped.
The train is dislocated off the rails.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Manh, head of the railway station of Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province says that at about 18h40, a carriage that contained power generators had trouble, making the train SE15 derail in Cam Lam, about 10 km to the south of the Nha Trang railway station. The train was stopped quickly so it did not cause any loss of life.
“After the train left the Nha Trang station, many people were sleeping when they were suddenly awakened up by a strong sound, vibration and then the train stopped,” a passenger recalled.
The Nha Trang railway station urgently sent two engines to the scene. At around 21h, passenger carriages were pulled back to the Nha Trang station. Workers put the train on the rail and made field clearance.
The carriage that contains power generators was replaced and the train continued the trip to Ho Chi Minh City.
