The Russian Government will take a draft law on the ratification of an
agreement between the country and Vietnam on the transfer of sentenced
prisoners into consideration.
The document submitted by the
ministries of foreign affairs and justice has already been approved by
the Government committee for Russia’s legislation activities.
The pact aims to establish an international legal ground for the bilateral cooperation in the field.
It allows foreign nationals convicted in the respective countries to
serve the remainder of their sentences in their homeland.-VNA
