Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has declared that Vietnam wants to
further deepen cooperation with all nations and organisations in the
region and the world.
He made the statement while hosting a
banquet in Hanoi on August 30 for international guests on the occasion
of the 68 th National Day of Vietnam (September 2).

Dung, in his speech, said over the past 68 years, mutually-beneficial
friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and global countries and
organisations has strengthened and expanded across the board in an
effective way.
Alongside other member nations, Vietnam
strives to step up the process of building the ASEAN Community – a
common house of the Southeast Asian nations, continue maintaining and
upholding regional cooperative mechanisms like the East Asia Summit, the
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and the ASEAN Regional Forum, he
said.
The PM affirmed that within the framework of the
United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement as well as other multilateral
cooperative mechanisms, Vietnam always does its best, together with
foreign countries and organisations, to enhance cooperation, build and
strengthen strategic trust in order to prevent conflict and settle
differences for the sake of all people across the world, especially
in poor areas.
The host said he believes on the back of
sincere trust and warm feeling, constructive spirit and respect of
mutual interests, all nations will overcome challenges to build a world
of peace, friendship, stability, development and prosperity.
The Government leader also expressed his hope that ambassadors and
diplomats in Vietnam will uphold their role for friendship between
Vietnam and countries worldwide.
Venezuelan Ambassador to
Vietnam Jorge Rondon Ucategui, acting head of the diplomatic corp said
he believes Vietnam will make greater strides to become an
industrialised and prosperous nation by 2020. He added he is hopeful
that Vietnam will actively attend bilateral and multilateral forums for a
world, creating a foundation in which all nations live in peace.-VNA
