VietNamNet Bridge – Around 20 websites may be fined for violations related to copyright issues and unlicensed operation, as well as distortion of information in their publications.
baomoi.com has apologised to Nang Luong Moi Newspaper for using their articles without permission.
The Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, which is under the Ministry of Information and Communications, has proposed that the ministry’s inspectors deal specifically with five websites: baomoi.com, vietbao.vn, 24h.com.vn, stockbiz.vn and bongda.com.vn for copyright infringement.
The department has also asked departments of information and communications in Hanoi, HCM City, Danang, Quang Binh, Ha Nam and Ba Ria-Vung Tau to deal with 15 cases of unlicensed websites. Some of the cases involve publications that publish inaccurate information or material that counters Vietnamese tradition.
Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications’ inspection agency requested managers of Megafun.vn,vinacorp.vn, stockbiz.vn, ngoisao.vn, tindantri.vn and bongda.vn to explain their use of Dantri material without permission.
In the past the website baomoi.com was forced to apologise to Nang Luong Moi (New Energy) Newspaper and other online newspapers for use of articles without approval.
