Mozambican Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosário and Vietnamese
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai have agreed to strengthen ties
between the two countries through increasing delegation exchanges and
high-level meetings, and supporting each other in international forums
and organisations.

The consensus was reached during talks in the
capital city of Maputo, Mozambique on July 30, where the two leaders
informed each other on their countries’ respective situations and
reviewed the Vietnam-Mozambique increasing friendship.

The host
congratulated Vietnam on its successes in economic development while the
guest praised Mozambique’s socio-economic achievements and recent
reform efforts.

They affirmed that the two peoples will continue
supporting each other towards reaping greater success in national
construction efforts.

The Mozambican Prime Minister spoke highly
of Vietnam’s assistance to his country in education-training and
agricultural production, affirming that Vietnam-Mozambique cooperation
projects and those with a third party have proven effective.

During
the talks, the two leaders focused their discussion on new partnership
orientations in disaster forecasts and traffic management.

Deputy
PM Hai stated that Vietnam is willing to share experience in
agriculture, oil and gas exploitation and telecommunications with
Mozambique and will continue to help Mozambique train technical workers.

After the talks, the host and guest attended a press conference to announce orientations to boost bilateral relations.

Talking
to the two countries’ press agencies, the Mozambican Prime Minister
affirmed that the two nations will make every effort to deep economic,
trade and investment links.

PM Rosário hosted a banquet for Deputy PM Hai and his entourage on the evening of July 30.

Earlier
the same day, the Vietnamese delegation worked with representatives
from the Frelimo Party in Maputo. They also received senior officials
from Mozambique’s ministries of agriculture food security,
transport communications and industry trade.-VNA
