A delegation of
leaders of the Party, Government and Ho Chi Minh City offered incense to
the late President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in HCM City on
September 1 on the occasion of August Revolution Day (August 19) and
the 69th anniversary of National Day (September 2).

The delegation included Politburo member and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan
Dung, Defence Minister Phung Quang Thanh, Public Security Minister Tran
Dai Quang, and Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Secretary Le Thanh Hai,
among others.

They also visited the ongoing museum
exhibition showcasing the late leader’s testament and the triumphs
Vietnam has achieved in the last 45 years of implementing Ho Chi
Minh’s will.

The location of the Ho Chi Minh Museum
in HCM City, at Nha Rong Port, is where the late leader, at
that time known as Nguyen Tat Thanh, commenced his journey abroad in
1911 in search of ways to liberate Vietnam.

In
1945, President Ho Chi Minh led the country to victory in the August
Revolution, forming the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, which in turn
became today’s Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On the same day, the city also organised photograph exhibitions at the
Youth Cultural House, in Chi Lang Park and along Dong Khoi
Street in celebration of these special occasions.

The exhibitions will run until September 10.-VNA
