VietNamNet Bridge – Hanoi on August 1 will conduct a survey to assess the satisfaction of the public and organizations with services offered by administrative agencies.
With the goal of improving the people’s satisfaction with the services of administrative agencies in 2015, the survey will be conducted in one town or ward of each district. The participants will be selected randomly.
A total of 5,400 questionnaires will be issued to collect the people’s opinions on six areas, including the granting of housing construction licenses, certificates of land use rights, ID cards, birth certificates, marriage registration, and other certificates.
The survey will be carried out by the Institute for Socio-economic Development of Hanoi. The results will be available in early 2015.
Two years ago, the Hanoi Party Committee performed a sociological survey on administrative reform in five departments in Hanoi, including the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Construction, the Department of Architecture and Planning, the Department of Investment and Planning and the Department of Finance. 1,000 participants were key officials of districts and businesses in the city.
The results showed that harassment and corruption were common at all agencies, with high rates for the Department of Finance, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Planning and Architecture, the Department of Construction, and the Department of Planning and Investment.
Most of the participants were unsatisfied with the attitude of public servants. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment had the lowest satisfaction rate with 11%, while the Department of Finance had the highest rate of 26%.
