Hanoi will invest over 13 trillion VND (619 million USD) to tackle
pollution in 44 craft villages specialising in food and agricultural
product processing.
The investment is part of a
strategy to solve the urgent problem of environmental pollution in craft
villages in the context of their fast development.
Besides state budget allocations, the city also encourages other
economic sectors and the community to take part in the work.
People in rural areas are advised to build hygienic toilets and biogas tanks to utilise waste from animal husbandry.
The city will also organise the collection of rural waste, designating
three dumping grounds for districts in the north, south and west of the
city respectively.
Hanoi sets the target of successfully tackling pollution in all craft villages by 2030.-VNA
