Miwon Vietnam Co., Ltd, based in the northern province of Phu Tho, has
been fined 515 million VND (24,000 USD) for discharging waste water into
the environment.
In addition, its pollution causing activities
will be suspended for three consecutive months. Within six months, the
company has to terminate the discharge of waste water that exceeds the
permitted level by 10 times.
Earlier in April 2014, the
provincial People’s Committee issued a decision to impose administrative
penalty on the company for the same violation.
